Albert Peter Krajnik

          Albert Peter Krajnik, age 92, of Presque Isle, Michigan, passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2020, in New Port Richey, FL.

          On November 17, 1927, Albert was born to the late Joseph and Anastasia (Laniewski) Krajnik in Posen, Michigan. Albert served in the Army National Guard for four years. He married Agnes Woloszyk on April 30, 1949, at St. Casimir Roman Catholic Church; Agnes preceded him in death on May 24, 1981. Later he married Margaret (Matzke) Woodmansee on March 12, 1987. Margaret preceded him in death on October 6, 2006. In Alpena, Albert first worked for Petch Mfg and Westinghouse, and later for Lafarge in Stone Port for 15 years. He was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus Third and Fourth Degree, and was a former member of the Presque Isle Fire Department and a Township trustee for Presque Isle. Albert built and cared for his home at Grand Lake and enjoyed boating, fishing, hunting, and time with his family.

 

          He is survived by his two daughters: Mary Ann Crawford of Alpena, MI and Connie (John) Beebe of New Port Richey, FL; one step-daughter: Amy (Eric) Waite Kingsport, TN; 8 grandchildren: Derek and Darcy Christianson, Branden, Bruce, and Kaleigh Hall, Alyssa Krajnik, Rachel and Thomas Mayes; three great-grandchildren: Max, Mya, and Bjorn; two brothers: Stanley Krajnik of Rogers City, MI and Casimir "Cash" (Ann) Krajnik of Moltke Twp, MI; along with many nieces and nephews.

          Albert was preceded in death by his son Gary Krajnik, six brothers: Chester, Edmund, John, “Alex” Aloysius, Frank, and “Ace" Ignatius; two sisters: Sophie Brooks and Irene Pastell.

          Family and friends will gather for Memorial Visitation on Sunday, July 26, 2020, at Karpus-Hunter Funeral Home from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m., with the Knights of Columbus Honor Guard from 5 p.m. until 6 p.m. with the Memorial Service beginning at 6 p.m. at Karpus-Hunter Funeral Home with Fr. James Fitzpatrick officiating followed by the Third and Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus Chalice Presentation. 

Inurnment: Holy Cross Cemetery

Sunday, July 26, 2020 at Karpus-Hunter Funeral Home: Visitation at 2pm-6pm; K of C Honor Guard 5pm-6pm; Memorial Service at 6pm; Followed by 3rd and 4th Degree K of C Chalice Presentation.
