Alfreda D. Strobel

Alfreda D. Strobel, 89, of Alpena passed away on January 22, 2021, at Mid-Michigan Medical Center of Alpena.

          She was born on April 5, 1931, to Theodore and Ida (Ulatowski) Walker in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She married Marion Strobel on May 26, 1951, in New Jersey. Alfreda worked for Burroughs Corporation in Plymouth, MI for 20 years, and retired to northern Michigan in 1986.

     Alfreda and Marion were blessed with two children who survive them:  Deborah (Stephen Bourgoin) Strobel of Ossineke, MI and James (Karen) Strobel of Belcamp, Maryland, along with a granddaughter, Rebecca Strobel.

     She was predeceased by her husband in 2014 as well as a brother, Eugene Walker in 2019.

   Per her wishes, immediate cremation has been entrusted to Karpus-Hunter Funeral Home and inurnment will be at Evergreen Cemetery at a later date.  No services are scheduled at this time.
