Carol Sue Kraft

Carol Sue Kraft age 84, of Alpena, passed peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday, December 17, 2021, at My Mid-Michigan Medical Center of Alpena.
On June 2, 1937, Carol was born to the late William and Martha (Stroh) Hild in St. Louis, MO. She married Clarence T. Kraft on June 27, 1957, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Herron, MI. Carol was a teacher for the Alpena Public Schools and the Parochial Schools from 1957 until 1995, retiring in 1995. She was member of Farm Bureau, part of the Election Board of Presque Isle Electric, the Daughter’s of Isabella and St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Carol had a green thumb and cherished her flower beds and garden. She was such an avid gardener; she became an award-winning canner from her produce.
Carol is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Clarence T. and their three children: Thomas (Mary) Kraft of Madison Heights, MI; Teresa (Gary) Rucinski, of Alpena, MI; and Michael (Maria) Kraft of Pinckney, MI; six grandchildren: Analisa, Ariel, and Serena Kraft, Nicole Rucinski, Alexandra and Nicholas Kraft; three step-grandchildren: Aric (Melissa) Piercey, Ben Piercey, and Jon Piercey; two step great-grandchildren and one sister: Betty Ann Bugg of Curran, MI.
She was preceded in death by her parents, step- parents: Robert (Marjorie) Miller and one step-brother: Lawrence C Miller.
Arrangements are entrusted by the Karpus-Hunter Funeral Home. Family and friends will gather for Visitation on Wednesday, December 22, 2021, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church from 12:00 p.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial Begins at 2:00 p.m. with Father Tyler Bischoff officiating.
Interment: St. Rose Cemetery
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Salvation Army of Alpena in memory of Carol.
