Clarence J. Markowski

Clarence J. Markowski, age 91, of Alpena passed away peacefully on Friday, February 22, 2019, at Medilodge of Alpena.
On September 30, 1927, Clarence was born in Alpena, Michigan to the late Anthony and Olivine (LeClair) Markowski. He married Patricia Leskie on April 28, 1951; she preceded him on death on December 12, 2014. Clarence was the Foreman at Fraser Products. He served as a Merchant Marine and later went on to the United States Army Air Core. Clarence was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus Council 529.
Clarence is survived by his daughter, Susan (Bob) LaCross of Alpena, MI; three grandchildren: Scott (Sibrena) Lacross; Chad (Stephine) LaCross; and Andrew (Anna) Markowski; 7 great-grandchildren: Zachary, Isabelle, Blaine, Kayson, and Makayla LaCross, Noah and Nash Markowski; along with several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his son Tom Markowski and one sister Lorrane Rondeau.
Family and friends will gather for Memorial Visitation on Tuesday, February 26, 2019, at Karpus-Hunter Funeral Home from 1 pm until the Memorial Service begins at 2pm at Karpus-Hunter Funeral Home.
Inurnment: Holy Cross Cemetery
In memory of Clarence memorials may be made to Huron Humane Society or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
