Darlene C. Chadkewicz

Darlene C. Chadkewicz, age 72, of Alpena, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 30, 2017, at home.
She was born in Marysville, Michigan on October 31, 1944, to the late Edward and Sarah (Jenkins) Leverenz. She married Ralph Tolan who preceded her in death in 1987. In November of 2004, Darlene married Michael Chadkewicz. She enjoyed spending her time caring for her family and shopping with her daughters.
She is survived by her loving husband of 12 years, Michael, and her children: Diane Prater, Barb (Jim) Arthur, Mary (James) Celaya, Julie (Todd) Sommerfield, Joseph Chadkewicz, Daniel (Vivien) Chadkewicz, Marcus Prater, and Mikayla Prater, along with her 14 grandchildren, a great-granddaughter, and her brother Edward Levernz Jr.
Darlene was preceded in death by her daughter Sheryl McCoy in March of 2017.
Family and friends will gather for visitation at Karpus-Hunter Funeral Home on Thursday, June 1, 2017, from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. Visitation will continue on Friday, June 2, 2017, at Karpus-Hunter Funeral Home from 10 a.m. until the Funeral Service begins at 11 a.m. with Fr. Joe Muszkiewicz officiating at Karpus-Hunter Funeral Home.
Internment: Holy Cross Cemetery
