David M. Paul

September 1, 1963 — May 16, 2017

U.S. VeteranDavid M. Paul, age 53, passed away on Tuesday, May 16, 2017, unexpectedly at home.
David was born on September 1, 1963, to the late Edward and Mary (Bronikowski) Paul in Alpena, Michigan. He served in the United States Air Force from 1983- 1987. David worked at DPI for 12 years and previously worked for the Fletcher Paper Company for 9 years. He enjoyed his time spent at work with his coworkers, joking around, and making people laugh. Outside of work, he enjoyed spending time with family and working in his yard. David loved spending time with his nieces, Emily and Haley. They brought the kid out in him. They were bright rays of sunshine in his life and he was their whole world. He had a giving heart and expected nothing in return. David will be missed by so many.
He is survived by his brother John Paul of Ossineke, MI; five sisters: Kathy Paul of Muskegon, MI; Donna (Randy) Bowers of Paw Paw, MI; Carol Lamoreau of Portland, TN; Patti (Dave) Lapham of Houghton Lake, MI; Sandy (Mark) Konieczny of Laingsburg, MI; and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will gather at St. John the Baptist Catholic on Monday, May 22, 2017, from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. Memorial Service begins with Fr. James Fitzpatrick officiating. Full Military Honors accorded by the V.F.W. Post 2496 will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery at 2 p.m.
