Emmett L. St. Onge

Emmett St. Onge, age 73, of Alpena, passed away on October 22, 2016, at home.
Emmett was born on March 7, 1943, to the late Orel and Irene (McLaren) St. Onge in Alpena, MI. On June 9, 1962 he married Geraldine Bruning his loving wife of 54 years at Immanuel Lutheran Church. Emmett served in the US Navy at the Bay of Pigs. He was a truck driver for several years and later owned G & R Upholstery.
He is survived by his loving wife Geraldine of 54 years, his four children: Russell (Jennifer) St. Onge of North Branch, MI; Pamela (Michael) Peck of Valley Center, CA; Heather (Matthew) Grochowski of Norfolk, VA; and Jeremy Jaclyn) St. Onge of Farmington Hills, MI. His seven grandchildren: Taren, Lee, and Michael St. Onge, Tucker, Elora, Kaelyn, and Grayson Grochowski. A brother David (Faye) St.Onge of Hesperia, MI and his four sisters: Barbara (Richard) Parfitt of Alpena, MI; Carol St. Onge of Houghton Lake,MI; Kathy Closs of Rochester Hills, MI; and Brenda (Tom) Hoffman of Caledonia, MI.
Emmett was preceded in death by his brother Kenneth St.Onge.
Family and friends will gather for visitation on Wednesday, October 26, 2016, at Karpus-Hunter Funeral Home from 12 noon until the Funeral Service begins at 3 pm with Rev. James Erickson officiating. Followed by Full Military Honors accorded by the V.F.W. Post 2496.
