Harvey 'John' Hanner

Harvey John Hanner, age 82, of Spruce passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at home on August 7, 2018.

            On October 25, 1935, Harvey was born to the late Melvin and Myrtle (Wright) Hanner in Spruce, Michigan. He married Julie Carr on June 19, 1995. John was a self employed Logger for 60 years and enjoyed spending time in the woods.

            John is survived by his wife Julie of 23 years; and his two children: Laura LeClair of Harrisville, MI and John Jr. Hanner of Napoleon, MI; five grandchildren: Tiffany, Payton, Tarra, Taishaw, and Noah; four great-grandchildren: Trinity, Tayler, Savannah, and Eli; one brother Melvin (Rose) Hanner of Mt. Morris, and several nieces and nephews.

            He was preceded in death by four brothers: Clarence, Edward, Bobby, and Orville Hanner; four sisters Sylvia Robb, Betty Gauthier, Annie Markowiak, and Margie Wakeman.

            A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 11, 2018, at 1 pm at the Sanborn Township Fire Hall of the corner of Nicholson Hill Road and US-23 South in Ossineke, Michigan with Pastor Leslie Nye officiating.

            John will be laid to rest at Pleasant View Cemetery at a later date.
