Kevin G. Nowicki

Kevin G. Nowicki, age 61, of Alpena, passed away suddenly on Sunday, April 30, 2017, at home.
On February 12, 1956, Kevin was born to the late Gereon and Viola (Kamyszek) Nowicki in Alpena, MI. He married Pamela Hoppe on October 30, 1976. He was the owner and operator of Nowicki Forest Products with his three brothers for over 30 years. Kevin was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, and the Knights of Columbus Third Degree. He spent quality time with his children and assisted coaching them all throughout their hockey years, and coached the 1st Women Hockey Team in Alpena. He played on the Men's Softball League, St. Mary's Church league; and also coached Little League and the Babe Ruth Baseball League. Kevin enjoyed going to the Casino with his wife and spending time with his family.
Kevin is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Pamela, and their four children: Scott (Kristy) Nowicki, Nathan Nowicki, Jenny (Brad) Smith, and Art (Angie) Nowicki, all of Alpena, MI; his 5 grandchildren: Joshua, Adam, and Kaydee Nowicki; Emily and Nick Smith. Three brothers: Alvin (Jewel) Nowicki, Dennis (Lori) Nowicki, and Ted (Dawn) Nowicki all of Alpena, MI; a sister Audrey (Roger) Price of Saginaw, MI; along with several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will gather for visitation on Friday, May 5, 2017, at Karpus-Hunter Funeral Home from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. Private Family Services will be held at a later date.
Memorials may be made to friend's choice of organization in memory of Kevin.
