Maria Senchuk

Maria Senchuk, age 93, passed away at home July 20, 2017, surrounded by loving family.
Maria Kodynsky was born February 22, 1924, in Grigoriewka, Ukraine. She married Kenneth R. Senchuk April 23, 1947, in Sonthoven, Germany shortly after World War II. Ken brought her home to Alpena, Michigan, where she made a life as a homemaker. Her greatest joy, though, was in raising their five wonderful children. She was Exceedingly proud of, and loved, each one of them.
Maria is survived by her husband of 70 years, Kenneth R. Senchuk, five children: William (Dixie) of Hartland; Judith (George) Nastas of Haslett; Rovert (Debbie) of Alpena; Al (Peggy) of Alpena; and James (Sylvia) of Richland; 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, and a sister.
Friends and family will come together at St. Anne Catholic Church of All Saints Parish, Alpena, for a memorial visitation Monday, July 24, 2017, at 10:00 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Fr. James Fitzpatrick officiating.
