Marlene R Filarski

Marlene R. Filarski, age 72, of Hubbard Lake, passed away peacefully after a long illness on Friday, October 7, 2016, at the Mid-Michigan Medical Center of Alpena.
Marlene was born on August 9, 1944, to the late Henry and Clara (Hiske) Kihn in Alpena, Michigan. On May 28th, 1988 Marlene married Albin Filarski at St. Mary Catholic Church. She is a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. She enjoyed spending her time in her flower garden and reading.
She is survived by her loving husband of 28 years, Albin, her son David (Tracey) Wallace of South Carolina; her three step-children: Michael (Cheryl) Filarski of Oregon; Jean Filarski of Florida; and Janet (Phil) Tomlinson of Arizona. Her eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and her brother Dewayne Kihn of Herron, MI.
Family and friends will gather for visitation on Thursday, October 13, 2016, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Hubbard Lake from 10 AM until the 11 AM Funeral Service begins with Pastor Joseph Llewellyn officiating.
