Martha M. (Woloszyk) Krajnik, age 88, of Alpena, passed away on Monday, January 13, 2020, as a result of an auto accident.
On October 2, 1931, Martha was born to the late Maximillion and Sophie (Donajkowski) Woloszyk in Posen, Michigan. She married John Krajnik on July 30, 1949, at St. Casimir Roman Catholic Church in Posen, Michigan with Rev. Casimir Syzper officiating. John preceded her in death on October 26, 1971. Martha worked for Provincial House in housekeeping and retired in 2009. She was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church of All Saints Parish, the Rosary Society, and volunteered at the All Saints School Cafeteria.
She is survived by her 3 children: Kathleen Krajnik of Alpena, MI; James (Robin) Krajnik of Moore, SC; and Debra Spleet of Alpena, MI; 8 grandchildren:
Tina (Keith) Orban, Lisa (Jeremy) Anderson, Olivia Hillus, Christin Greenwich, Sheldon (Crystal) Bond, Anthony Krajnik, Lucas (Stephanie) Krajnik, and Cash Spleet; 8 great-grandchildren: Tori and Zachary Orban, Emmett, Wyatt, Travis and Landon Anderson, Kai Green, and Olive Krajnik along with several nieces and nephews.
Martha was preceded in death by 2 grandchildren: Matthew Krajnik and Jolene Spleet; 14 siblings: Frances, Bernice, Thomas, Anna, Steve, Catherine, Gertrude, Adam, Valentine, Agnes, Michael, Walter, Esther, and Bernard.
Family and friends will gather for visitation on Sunday, January 19, 2020, at Karpus-Hunter Funeral Home from 2 pm until 8 pm, with a Rosary Service beginning at 3:30 pm and a Parish Prayer Service beginning at 7 pm. Visitation will continue on Monday, January 20, 2020, at St. Anne Catholic Church of All Saints Parish from 11 am until the Mass of Christian Burial begins at 12 noon with Fr. Scott Lawler officiating.
