Mary Ann E. Seymour

            Mary Ann E. Seymour, age 78, formerly of Ossineke, Michigan passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 26, 2018, at home in Alpena, Michigan.

            Mary Anna was born on March 13, 1940, to the late Louis and Mary (Scratz) Hartman in Cleveland, OH . She married Lloyd Seymour on May 13, 1961, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Ossineke, MI. He preceded her in death on December 5, 1997. She was a devoted volunteer for over 50 years. Mary Ann was a volunteered at the Alcona County Department of Social Services in Alcona County. She was a volunteer at ARMC at the Information Desk, and the Health Plex. She also made booties and hats for newborns at ARMC. Mary Ann was a member of Hope Lutheran Church in Hubbard Lake, Michigan and taught Sunday School and Bible School. She was also a member of the Spruce V.F.W. Post 6754 and F.O.E. # 3762 both of Ossineke, MI. She was a very dedicated and well like person who will be missed by many.

            She is survived by her daughter Anna (Dwayne) Seymour-Casebier of Alpena, MI; one daughter-in-law: Lori Seymour; two grandsons: Jordin L. and Justin D. Seymour- Casebier; three step-grandchildren Jennifer Casebier-Kane and Steven Casebier; two great-stepchildren: Breanna L. Casebier, Hailey E. Kane, and Tyler Casebier; two sisters: Annette Irwin of Alpena, MI and Genevieve Lipnick of FL; along with several nieces and nephews.

            Mary Ann was preceded in death by her son David R. Seymour on December 6, 2005; one brother Louis Hartman Jr.; two sisters Emily Gaydos and Helen Pagano.

            Family and friends will gather for memorial visitation on Thursday, October 4, 2018, at Karpus-Hunter Funeral Home from 11 AM until the Memorial Service begins at 1 PM with Pastor Paul Frey officiating.

            Inurnment: Hope Lutheran Cemetery

            Memorials may be made to Hospice of Michigan in memory of Mary Ann.
