Mary E. Stemkowsi

Mary E. Stemkowski, age 60, of Alpena passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 19, 2019, at Medilodge in Gaylord, Michigan surrounded by her family.
On March 2, 1959, Mary was born in Alpena, Michigan to Lester and Ethel (Prieur) Chroninger. She worked for Community Mental Health Care as a home health care provider. Mary enjoyed being outdoors, crocheting and being with her animals.
She is survived by her five sons: Joseph Stemkowski of Midland, MI; James Stemkowski of Ossineke, MI; Roger (Courtney) Stemkowski of Gaylord, MI; Adam Stemkowski of Superior, WI; and Benjamin (Danielle) Stemkowski of Oscoda, MI; six grandchildren; one brother Jim Chroninger of Alpena, MI; two sisters: Marie Lundy of OH and Nora Chroninger of Alpena, MI; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, father and one brother Bob Chroninger.
Family and friends will gather for visitation on Wednesday, October 23, 2019, at Karpus-Hunter Funeral Home from 5 pm until the Funeral Service begins at 7 pm with Minister Paul Spigelmyre officiating at the Karpus Hunter Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to Hospice Compassus of Otsego County or the Huron Humane Society.
