Mary Jane Greka

     Mary Jane Greka, 86, of Alpena passed away at MyMichigan Medical Center- Alpena on December 21, 2021. 

     Mary Jane was born May 10, 1935 in Rogers City to the late Joseph and Catherine (Smith) Kelly.  She married Chester H. Greka on August 29, 1953 at St. Ignatius Church in Rogers City. They shared 53 years together before he preceded her in death on August 24, 2009.   Mary Jane was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and served on the Rosary Society.

     Surviving are Mary Jane's children; Jane (Robert) Skowronek, Steven (Patti) Greka and Susan (Glenn) Willyard, all of Alpena.  Also surviving are grandchildren; Brian (Anna) Skowronek, Brandon (Molly) Skowronek, Andrew (Anna) Markowski, Toni Marie Kincaid, Carrie (Frank) Jere, and Jess Willyard, and great-grandchildren; Lillith and Rose Greka, Mia and Isabelle Skowronek, Lillian Skowronek, Noah and Nash Markowski, Thomas and Sarah Jere, and Norah Kincaid.  Mary Jane's sister, Patricia (Chuck) Swanson also survives. 

     Mary Jane was preceded in death by her husband, Chester, son, Anthony J. Greka, grandson Sgt. Allen Greka, and brothers; Joseph Kelly and Thomas Kelly.

     Private family services are being held.  Memorials may be made in memory of Mary Jane to All Saints Parish of Alpena, 817 Sable Street.  Her final resting place will be in Holy Cross Cemetery in Alpena.  Online condolences for the family may be shared at www.karpushuntercares.com
