Michelle Leigh (Maloney) Idalski, age 46, of Alpena, passed away on Friday, September 27, 2019, in Alpena, Michigan.
She was born on October 2, 1972, in Midland, Michigan. She graduated from Midland High School in 1991. Michelle started working in Restaurant Management throughout the United States before returning to Michigan in 2001. She moved to the Alpena area to be closer to her family. After marrying Greg Idalski on December, 19, 2009, she then returned to school to become a nurse, while maintaining a full time job and worked her way up the ranks starting as an EMT, CNA, worked towards her LPN, and finally reaching her goal as an RN. She graduated from the Alpena Community College with an Associate's Degree in Nursing in 2013. Michelle was very outgoing, made friends easily, and loved to help others. In addition to helping people, she always had a soft spot for animals and was a pet mom to one dog and three cats.
Michelle is survived by her husband of 10 years, Greg; her father Ken (Wanda) Maloney of Midland, MI; her mother Elizabeth (Chris) Downing of Saginaw, MI; one sister Jennifer (Kurt) Broers of Alpena, MI, one brother Greg Maloney of Midland, MI; and three stepbrothers: Brett (Katrina) Moe, Bart (Dawn) Moe, Joe Downing and three stepsisters: Kari Babcock, Jessica Downing, and Sarah Downing, along with her mother-in-law Louise Idalski and family and her aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father-in-law David Idalski.
Family and friends may gather for visitation on Tuesday, October 1, 2019, at Karpus-Hunter Funeral Home from 2 pm until 7 pm. As the sun had rose on October 2nd with a gift from God of having the blessing of Michelle in our lives, the sun will set on October 2nd when our Guardian Angel receives her wings as we lay her to rest. Visitation will continue on Wednesday, October 2, 2019, at Karpus-Hunter Funeral Home from 11am until the Funeral Service begins at 12pm with Fr. James Fitzpatrick officiating.
Michelle will be laid to rest in Holy Cross Cemetery.
