Norbert Phillip Wisniewski

Norbert P. Wisniewski, age 85, of Alpena, passed away peacefully at home on January 17, 2023. Norbert was born on June 6, 1937 to the late Casimer and Stephanie (Domiencki) Wisniewski in Alpena. Norbert graduated from Catholic Central High School. He served two years in the United States Army and four years in the United States Army Reserve.

Nobert was employed at A&P of Alpena for nearly 40 years until his retirement in 1993. Norbert enjoyed golfing, horseshoes, going camping, spending time with his circle of buddies, watching baseball and football, and working on Sudoku puzzles.

He is survived by his beloved faithful companion of over 40 years, Shirley M Carr, a son, Kevin Wisniewski of Bay City MI, a daughter, Ellen (Wisniewski) Teckman of Alpena, stepson, Jason Carr of Alpena, and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He was preceded in death by siblings; Leona Wisniewski, Esther (Myron) Olsen, Robert (Sandy) Wisniewski, Donald (Kathy) Wisniewski, Jeanette Wisniewski and Barbara (Don) Sleeper, and his first wife Joan (Bissonette) Wisniewski.

Nobert has been taken for cremation from Karpus Hunter & Ross Funeral Home. Final resting place for Norbert will be at Holy Cross Cemetery. Memorials may be made in Nobert’s name to Hospice of Michigan. Online condolences may be registered at www.karpushuntercares.com
