Richard A. Brown

Richard A. Brown, 79, of Curran passed away peacefully on November 30, 2021 surrounded by his loved ones.

Richard was born in Detroit on January 15, 1942 to Luther and Katheryn (Hargrave) Brown.  He graduated with a BA in Engineering and owned his own business but he was especially proud of the time he served in the U.S. Army.  He was a member of the Rifle Team and earned a commendation as an Expert Rifleman.  This distinction continued to serve him as a civilian.  He was an avid outdoorsman and successful hunter.  He moved to Curran as a retiree and enjoyed his peace of heaven on earth with his life partner Maude.

Richard is survived by his son, Randy Brown of Farmington, MI, and daughters, Krystal Smith and Melissa (William) Tharp of Berkley, MI.  His partner Madean (Maude) Hennig, of Curran also survives as does his brother, Don Brown of Memphis, MI.  He was predeceased by his parents and brother, Robert Brown of Romeo.

Per his wishes, Richard has been taken from Karpus-Hunter Funeral Home for cremation.  There will be no services but condolences can be shared with the family at www.karpushuntercares.com
