Robert 'Bob' Charles Markowski

Robert (Bob) Markowski, age 65, of Ossineke passed away on Friday, December 23, 2016 at McLaren Hospital in Petoskey.
Bob was born on April 21, 1951 in Alpena, Michigan to the late Robert E. and Louise (Kindt) Markowski. Bob served in the US Navy from 1972 until 1977. On May 2, 1981 he married Cynthia Yankovitch at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Bob worked for National Gypsum and later Lafarge, retiring after 25 years. Later he was a Motor Route Carrier for 8 years for the Alpena News. Bob was a member of the First United Methodist Church. He was a well liked man, known for his colorful sense of humor and his friendliness.
He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Cindy and their son Daniel Markowski of Hubbard Lake, MI, his three cousins Carol Kindt, Debbie (Mike) Trew, and Steve (Connie) Markowski, two sister- in-laws Sue (Bill) McClelland, Julia Weisgerber, his brother-in-law Skip Yankovitch and several nieces and nephews.
Per Bob's wishes he has been taken from the Karpus-Hunter Funeral Home for Cremation. A private Memorial Service will be scheduled for a later date.
