Robert I. Wikaryasz, age 77, of Alpena passed away on Thursday, January 7, 2021, at home surrounded by his family.
On April 19, 1943, Bob was born to the late Theodore and Faybelle (St. Onge) Wikaryasz in Alpena, MI. In 1961, he graduated from Catholic Central, then joined the United States Navy serving from 1963 until 1967. Bob married Dianne Kendziorski in Alpena on April 30, 1988. He worked for General Motors for 18 years as a supervisor, then for Alpena General Hospital and later became a builder. Bob loved playing cards especially Spitzer.
He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Dianne and their four children: Jason (Jamie) Wikaryasz of Burton, MI; Robert (Katrina) Wikaryasz of Emmett, MI; Jonna (David) Radle of Alpena, MI; Jamie (Tim) Wikaryasz of Belleville, MI; 14 grandchildren: Aaron Wikaryasz, Chelsa Delgado, Brandon Radle, Kyle Radle, Chance Wikaryasz, David Cebula II, Levi Leyrer, Sierra Withey, Mason Fischer, Maxx Fischer, Cody Wikaryasz, Joe Wikaryasz, and Andy Wikaryasz; four great-grandchildren: Chloe Delgado, Emma Delgado, Nora Wikaryasz, Cami Delgado; two sisters: Karen (John) Crudden of Alpena, MI; Jeri Wikaryasz of Denver, CO; one sister-in-law Eileen Wikaryasz of Alpena, MI along with many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Robert was preceded in death by one son: Joseph Wikaryasz and one brother: Roger Wikaryasz.
Per his wishes Bob has been taken from Karpus-Hunter Funeral Home for Cremation. A Committal Service will be held on August 14, 2021, at Pilgrim's Rest Cemetery at 12:00 p.m. with Full Military Honors accorded by the V.F.W. Post 2496, followed by a Celebration of Bob's Life at the Family Home.
