Rodney 'Hot Rod/ Roady' Richard Werda

Rodney Richard Werda, age 37, of Alpena, passed away on Tuesday, December 10, 2019, at St. John's of Oakland Hospital, as a result of a Heroin overdose.
On March 2, 1982, Rodney was born in Alpena Michigan. Rodney was well known by his friends and family as "Hot Rod and Roady." When he walked in the room his smile was contagious and light up the room. He was a kind and loving soul and would go out of his way to help others. He enjoyed hanging out with friends around a good pallet fire, fishing and working on his cars and trucks.
He is survived by his mother Lori (Rick) Roznowski; father: Randy Werda; one brother Kristopher "Kritter" (Ashley) Werda; one niece Mckenna Werda and one nephew Bently Werda; step-sister: Heather (Bill) Poster; step-brother: Dan Roznowski; along with several Aunts, Uncles, cousins, several friends and his best friend Gunnar.
Family and friends will gather for memorial visitation on Sunday, December 22, 2019, at Karpus-Hunter Funeral Home from 12 pm until the Funeral Service begins at 2 pm with Pastor Lee Blanchard officiating.
