Steven Douglas Attwell

Steven Douglas Attwell, lifelong native of Alpena, Michigan, passed away Friday, May 20, 2022 at MyMichigan Medical Center Alpena at the age of 70. Steve was preceded in death by his mother Shelly and his father Chuck. Steve is survived by his loving wife Susan, his sister Shelly (Wayne), his two sons Chuck (Amy) and Patrick (McKenzie), two step children, Dave (Kay), and Jenny (Chuck), his step mother, Beverly, and four grandchildren, Charley, Owen, Tristan, and Sierra.

Steve was a private man with traditional values. He lived by a code “Just have fun with it, don’t make it a chore” and he led by example in his day- to- day life. Steve enjoyed working in his garden on beautiful days, and fishing with good company. A hard worker, Steve did carpentry work in Alpena and its surrounding areas, and even did missionary trips for the church in places like Alabama, building homes for those in need. Steve always built a longer table and filled the plates of others before his own; he didn’t have a uncompassionate bone in his body. He will be truly missed by his family, his friends and the community he loved.
