Sylvia Marie Witucki, age 96, of Alpena passed away on Thursday, June 4, 2020, at home.
On October 25, 1923, Sylvia was born to the late Frank and Clara (Woloszyk) Dembny in Posen, Michigan. Sylvia worked as a machine operator Fraser Products and later for Indian Head Industries for 46 years, retiring in 1991. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and an Honorable Member of the Rosary Sodality Group #6.
She enjoyed EWTN and the Detroit Tigers.
Sylvia is survived by her son: Alvin (Sue) Witucki of Alpena, MI; and three daughters: JoAnne (Art) Precord of Bend, OR; Barbara Baughman of Standish, MI; and Loretta (James) Burbine of Curran, MI; with several grandchildren, great-grandchildren; and great-great grandchildren; one sister: Delphine (Edward) Schemanski of Flint, MI; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Elaine Zerbe and one brother: Raymond Dembny, ; one half sister: Esther (Louis) Romel; three half brothers: Chester, Ernest, and Cleo Szydlowski of Sterling Heights, MI
Family and friends will gather for visitation on Monday, June 8, 2020, at Karpus-Hunter Funeral Home from 10 am until 2 pm, with a Rosary Service beginning at 11 am; with a Funeral Service beginning at 2 pm with Fr. James Fitzpatrick officiating.
Interment: Holy Cross Cemetery
In lieu of flowers memorials may be donated to All Saints Catholic School or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
