Tania Kauppila

Tania Kauppila, age 90, of Comins, Michigan passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 14, 2016 at Tendercare Alpena.
She was born on August 29, 1925 to the late Paul and Hruni (Wrba) Owdienska in Kiev, Ukraine. On March 21, 1959 she married Roy Kauppila in Madison Heights, MI. He preceded her in death on February 14, 2015.
Tania is survived by her six children: Krystyna (Douglas) Johnson of Ft. Myers, FL; Lilly (Patrick) Combs-Nichols of Harper Woods; Ruth McClean of Alpena; Tania (Brian) Bruner of Oxford, MI; Nina (Jeff) Niemetta of Lincoln, MI; and Matt Kauppila of Clinton Twp, MI. Along with 11 grandchildren, and
4 great- grandchildren.
Family and friends will gather for visitation on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at 10:00 am at the Christ the King Church (1550 W. Drahner Road; Oxford, MI 48371) until Funeral Services begins at 11:00 am with Rev. Jesse Holt officiating.
Internment: Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan.
