Timothy James Sobolewski

Timothy “Timmy” Sobolewski, 63, of Alpena, passed away suddenly on Thursday, July 7, 2022 at MyMichigan Medical Center Alpena. Timothy was born on August 28, 1958 to the late Anton and Rita (Farr) Sobolewski in Alpena. He was a graduate of Alpena High School and immediately after went on to serve his country in the United States Navy. Shortly after his service in the military Tim started his career in the construction business where he was a Heavy Equipment Operator. He worked for Great Lakes Excavating for over 15 years. Tim was a long-time active member for the Alpena Boosters Club where he contributed many years of volunteering to benefit the community’s youth. He enjoyed being retired, watching the rodeo, Nascar, and MSU basketball.
Tim is survived by his sister, Terri Sobolewski (Phillip Duranceau) of Ossineke, nieces, Misty and Amanda Guenther, step sister Mary Lappan, and many dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
