Wayne R Vansipe

Wayne R. VanSipe, age 72, of Lachine, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at home on Wednesday, May 4, 2016.
Wayne was born on June 13, 1943 to the late Robert and Betty (Snyder) VanSipe in Detroit, MI. On July 14, 1962 he married Judith Tovey in Alpena, MI.
Wayne was self employed as a cement contractor for 39 years. He was also a volunteer Fireman and EMT for Green Township for 14 years along with a member of the Grace Episcopal Church in Long Rapids.
He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Judith and their daughter Debra VanSipe of Posen. Two brothers Edward VanSipe of Alpena; and Dusty (Patti) VanSipe of Alpena, along with his three sisters Marlene (William) Hildebrandt of Hartland, MI; Beth Hill of Winona, Minn; and Bobette (Walley) Manning of Lachine, MI.
Wayne is preceded in death by his brother Louis VanSipe.
Per his wishes Wayne has been taken for cremation from the Karpus-Hunter Funeral Home.  Friends and family will gather for Memorial Visitation on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at the Grace Episcopal Church (13488 Long Rapids Road; Lachine, Michigan) from 10 AM until the 11 AM Memorial Service begins with Rev. Dusty VanSipe officiating.
